This is a walking tour through the old city centre of Florence, where you will visit the city’s main monuments and learn many details about the city, its history and its people.
This walking tour will take you through the heart of the old city of Florence. During this visit you will walk through what used to be the old fortified Roman city, passing by the Cathedral, Baptistery and Giotto’s bell tower.
The tour takes us to Piazza della Repubblica, where the old market used to be, and touches some of the places associated with the poet Dante and with the Medici.
We visit Piazza della Signoria, one of the Florence’s open-air museums, where Palazzo Vecchio is, the Piazzale degli Uffizi, home of the world-famous Galleria degli Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio – Old Bridge.
We finish the tour at Piazza Pitti, where the Medici bought and enlarged Palazzo Pitti, the residence of three royal dinasties in Florence.
Alternatively we can see Santa Croce instead of Palazzo Pitti.
The guided tour can be tailored to fit your needs and it is not necessarily to visit all the places named above. Also it is possible to include in the tour some other sightseeings on your choice.
